Looking for pics of 58 Impala roof vent used in other cars. I've seen some that aren't right on the rear window, but a little forward, with a space between, and I've seen some with the scoop sheet metal shortened quite a bit. Not sure if that's been done because the roof doesn't follow the same contour as an Impala, or for some other reason. For a roof with more curve, or less curve than the 58, is the scoop sliced and diced to follow the curvier part, or a new section made? I've found a few pics, not many, but can't find many pics in my stash of magazines. Hoping folks have a few that aren't too much trouble to post.. Thanks in advance, Bill
Had a sneaky feeling I had posted this before, and yeah, in 2022. Dang. It's not dementia, just CRS. I work so slow, it's easy to forget what I did last week, last month, 20 years ago..........
On Kustomrama's site you can search a year and make (1958 Chevy) and see the cars they have features on. They also compile a list of cars that have parts from that year/make. They only have three in the list for 1958 Chevy roof scoop. This '36 Ford has 2, one over the front and one over the rear! https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Bob_Stonoff's_1936_Ford https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Darol_Jorgenson's_1957_Chevrolet https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Larry_Douglas'_1950_Mercury
