Hello! So, I have a 1958 t-bird, and I have run into an issue with the windows, there is a gap between the door window and the rear quarter window. I have already done the procedure to move the rear quarters forward, but that still leaves about a one inch gap. I also found out that in the front of the door window there is a water leak, and although I followed the procedure online, but it didn't seem to work, any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Not sure this is of any help, but it looks like your front window needs to be moved toward the rear. I'm saying this because it looks to me the rear quarter window is right at the door gap and the front window is, as you stated about an inch too far forward. Don't know how that will work at the front end gap of the side window though. I'm sure one of our fellow Hambers will have the answer you're looking for.

How about a picture showing all 3 side windows and the surrounding roof. Then you will get some help.

I've got the same deal on my '59... I know I need new window seals, but mine is about 3/16" off.

Alright, sorry for the delay, but I will get some more pictures later tonight, so, just to be clear, you want pictures that show where the window meets the rest of the car on the top, and towards the front, anywhere else?

there should be some adjustable "stops" that limit the window travel in the closed position.

Post pictures of the whole side showing the windows and everything immediately around them.

not to state the obvious but there should be an adjustment that brings it forward as well as up.it needs to move up also see top of window.if you have the procedure for adjusting reread it you missed something.

  9. On my 56 Fairlane, the rear side window comes up and then slides forward. It sets about an inch forward of the door. It looks like this is how your's should fit. If it has power windows like mine, you may have to help it a little by pulling the window forward when it gets to the top while powering the window up. Mine needs a little help on the passengers side from time to time.
