of course it will work, do you have a torch?

seriously. New GM wheels fit my 41, my 41 fits a mid 80's tilt, etc. I think any GM to any GM is good- Salvage yard guys jump in here?
The big thing seems to be the diameter of the column. Tilt columns are around 4 inches, that old chevy wheel is probably 2 1/2?? Soit will work, may look bad.

  3. GM to GM works from the 30s into the early 90s - I put a '64 Buick Special wheel on an '84 Skylark and I had to change the horn contact a little. You might need to make a cover of some sort to go between the wheel and the column top, but it will fit the shaft fine.

I've never been a big fan of tilt wheels in early cars... I like the looks of the minimalist steering columns old cars came with. if you want a tilt, I'd say get the smallest one you can find...

like RNY said.. the splines were the same forever on GM cars

I kind of feel the same way about tilts in early cars, but it would solve an issue or two, besides I've blown the old school thing all to hell using power buckets out a Crysler T+C minivan and swap meet find digital dash kit

  6. If you can find one, you want a mid-60s GM tilt - they're really small, they don't look a whole lot different from a non-tilt. Pretty much any one used until they put the key on the column -
