I have a 59 ab truck engine that when torn down was at factory new specs. It came out of a 1946 Fire truck that was totaled in the early 50's and showed 2,100 miles on the odom. The only way to get it running is to dump gas in the carb. Very dangerous I found out when it burped back like a dragon. The carb has been rebuilt and tests fine. Plenty of spark. I hav to keep putting oil in the spark plug hole to keep up the compression which build to 120 lbs. on all cylinders. The oil pressure is 45lbs on the starter. I tried 12 volts for a faster turn with no start. Plugs are dry. What the he__ is going on? Forget it. I got no help but I got it going.
