Customs 59 Chevy Dash Trim

    Anyone know of someone that could restore 59 Chevy Aluminum Dash Trim. The trim is approx. 9" tall and the width of the dash.

    Hemmings magazine advertises restorers of aluminum trim... be prepared! Only had one set of rocker moldings done for a customer of mine, insanely expensive. But trying to do it yourself, is very difficult. Strip finish, fix dings and dents, maybe weld, on VERY thin aluminum, then polish it, and either send it out for anodizing again, or, as I did, put a couple coats of clear Imron on it.

    Thanks for the info, my client would be willing to spend big $ if he could find NOS or good original pieces...

    ^^ That guy does beautiful work from what I have seen. He is pretty local to me . 60 miles.
