A friend has a 59 Chevy pick up with 6 cyl I believe it's a 235 cid and needs a fuel pump with the windshield wiper vacuum fitting we search Kanter & Egge without any luck, any other sources out there ? The truck is all original survivor and wants to keep it that way, it's in his family along time and was actually bought from a dealership that was in his home town and has the original paperwork.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks John

Do you actually need a whole pump? Assuming it’s the diaphragm that’s gone, just get a rebuild kit.

the vacuum pump usually doesn't really do anything useful, you can get a single type pump pretty easily, eh? do that instead.

The vacuum part just helps the wipers work a little better on hills or when accelerating but that is all it does or is on the engine for. A regular single action pump is a direct bolt on with maybe a little line line up issue. I'd just go get the 23 buck one at O'Reilly's to be able to drive the truck and then decide if I want to order the 155 dollar one from Summit. Or hope that O'Reilly can scrounge up one of their 198 dollar ones. Screenshot (2278).png

Searches show that Jim Carter, Parts Hawk and a couple of others are out of stock on the dual pumps. Personally for the 130 to 170 dollar difference I could put up with wipers that didn't work perfect all the time or add a belt driven or electric vaccum pump.
His best bet if he wants to keep the wipers is to use an electric vacuum pump like this one Amazon.com: Auxiliary Electric Vacuum Pump Assembly Fits for Chevrolet Cadillac CTS CAMARO CAPRICE HHR SOLSTICE Saturn Volvo C30 C70 S40 V40 V50 2001-2016, Power Brake Booster 20804130 31317530 009428081 30793053 : Automotive I'm thinking that they are for supplying vacuum for power brakes on Turbo or supercharger cars. My daughter'sHHR isn't a turbo but I can look under the hood and see if it has one.

Newport sells a direct bolt in 2 speed electric replacement wiper motor for the vaccuum motor if wiper action is the big issue. New Port Engineering | 1958-59 Chevy/GMC Truck Wiper Motor (newportwipers.com)

Sorry didn't read your post closely enough. I used the Newport Engineering electric replacement on my 1957 Chevy pickup (2 speed). Has worked fine for years.
