  9. Cool build, luv the details. I recognize the ferrels on your exhaust system. I fabricate ss headers and piping for the wine and milk and cheese industry among other things at work and use them all the time.

  10. What HE said! Totally inspiring thread. Subscribing to have something to look forward to Mondays.

There was a guy at the Meltdown Drags with a 292 and an aluminum 12-port head in a 54 pickup. It was running 11 second 1/4s. :) He said you could still get the heads from some guy in CA and they were not cheap

Just finishing up some area on this lower valance that I couldn't let alone I know no one will see it but owell,
Also as u can see every thing in bare metal is covered in surface rust mostly because the humity has been so high here as soon a u touch bare metal it's rusting in a days time .

    Monday updates again
So I found some hubcaps I'm going to run ,there 52 Buick, something you don't see everyday well atleast I don't ,

Also I finally found a color so I can get away from flaking the roof, it's a green from R-M custom paint line that's not a candy but looks pretty cool.

I don't have aney pics yet of what the paint rep and I changed with the bottom color (ciber green ) but as u can tell I have been racking my brain over colors for years.

Now to what I got accomplished
today. I started on shorting the passanger side of the rear bumper since I didn't do it at the same time as I did the other side .

Once that was done I focused my attention on the talegate fin moldings and center peice the molding weren't laying correctly because I put a bottom skin on the gate years ago and never thought the it would mess with how the molding went on well it did so I had some slicing and dicing to do as always, also center emblem was rubbing metal when I tried to open it up .
As u can see there a bow in the talegate skin to molding area instead of just trying to tighting the molding down to the body I'm made the body straight so it would lay flat.
Once that was done it was time to move onto the gas fill tube and gas tank .

So the the day was over I went home and started back working on the headers since when I built them down at the shop it was just for mock up now that I have them home I can work out the problem areas, and try to get them ready for polishing, I have a ways to go but I fugared I post some pic of the headers pips flowing seamlessly into the collector.

Just make sure that you move forward on the build when you are in the mood. When you work on the other guy's stuff, you've got to get it done on a schedule. But when you work on your own, it's supposed to be fun. I find I do better work when I want to be out in the shop, so I avoid going out there when the work becomes tedious. Perhaps that's why it took me six years to build my '39. But I didn't take any short cuts either. Holler if you need a third hand. ~WX1

I'm liking all this work, especially the I-6.
Is that a MotoGuzi motor in the background in the headers pic?

Looks like it to me. It also looks like he's building a custom frame for it as well. You can just make out the two tubes above it.

I dig the hubcaps too. It's something different from the Caddy Sombreros you see everywhere nowadays.

Thanks chris, ill deffent holler if i need a hand, and i look forward to seeing you guys at the greeseball .

Thank you, ive finally looked at the pic on a computer and not on my phone of the color and its deffently more greener in person :D

    Thanks
Thank you, yes its a 76 motorguzzi it my owne person project .

your also correct, about 3 years ago one of my good friends gave me that motoguzzi, it was a really ugyl bike but it was free ,had low miles on it, and i thought the motor looked pretty cool so i couldnt pass it up , so i started makin a boardtracker out of it (i know out of a 76 guzzi but o well ) and pretty much scraped the most of the original frame and started over with just the bottom half and the neck , i also streched the wheel base 10 inches , then i made the decision i had too many things going on at once and fugared ither finish the guzzi or the wagon , so its been pushed in the corner for the last 2 years collecting dust but ill get back to it once the wagon is finished , since this is a hot rod site i really didnt post pics of it but if you guys want to see it ill post a couple .
