I don't care how long your thread gets, as long as you have dynamite work showing, I'll keep watching. Of course I want you to finish that ride someday, and blow peoples minds.....Jim

Excellent day at Apple-Scrapple, thought I'd see you there. At least two '59s there. An Elky and a 4dr. HT. There was a ton of spectators, but a little windy. Next week Jalopyrama, see you there. WX1

Absolutely fantastic workmanship and attention to detail. My favorite build on the HAMB. Someday i´m gonna get me a 59 wagon or elco.

Awesome wag and fab skills, i thought i was a good welder until i saw your work, excellent!
I have a question though on the first page you said it is "channeled 2 inches" im assuming this is the same as the truck community calls "body dropped" (im an old mini trucker) and i saw pics of the front frame horns moved to keep the bumper and rad support at the new height of the body on the frame. so what exactly did you have to do to channel the body ? did you cut the entire floor and drop the body around it ? or was there enough room between the body and frame to just move the body mounts down ? maybe just shorter body mounts? I would like to "channel" or "body drop" my 2dr 59 brookwood eventually but would like some advise (and pics) from someone who has done it to a 59 wag first. keep up the good work man, I love it, especially the hood and whitewalls i think your reading my mind sometimes.

Sorry, no such thing as an OLD "mini trucker." They are all youngsters.

Obviously too young to know that (probably) the mini truck magazines made an obviously good attempt at distancing themselves from the old school hotrodders and customizers even down to the vocabulary used by using this term "body drop" instead of the TRADITIONAL term for basically the same thing "channeling."
Mini trucking is so five minutes ago, the original traditional term "channeling" survives!

    Cool thread, cool car!

Thank you, now to how i channeled the wagon , i kinda cheated :D mother nature did a lot of the work form me , since the floor pans were rotted out i just cut the mounts on the frame and moved them down 2 inches , then lowered body down to the lowered mounts on the frame , then just put the new pans up higher ,then i just lowered the front frame horns , it wasnt really that hard to do but if you have aney more questions just let me know ill gladly answer to the best of my ability .

i wish it was that simple in delaware , ive done it on older tags for guys in the past for other states but delaware is different, see delaware's tags 5 diget or lower are are smaller in size , worth and bring high$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ the lower the # the more money it brings , i know guys who have paid over 200,000 for a really low diget tag # so all the low number are taken , i was verry lucky to get one for the wagon, also the delaware 5 diget tag or lower are porcelin, not stamped so there no need to even try cutting up tagsand when they got over the 5 digets they just painted the numbers . .but thanks for the idea tho ,

Another Monday update , so I've finally got done all the modifacations done on the intake , I took off the orgainal head and swaped in the 12 port last night , and ran into a little bit of a proble with the valvecover adaptor and the new head but that's all part of building hot rods and kustoms , but I guess that's why I like mocking everthing up . Also today I put in the front seat for mock up , since the last time it was in the was over 5 years ago and the seat bracing and floor were pretty much rotted out I rebuilt them but never had the chance to throw the seat back in to drill the holes in the floor , also I spent the finishing up a lot of loose ends ,
