  2. I'm pretty sure I'd have to crush the mirror myself. Good ol' California laws! It was 'glass' that Willy an I were talking about. I bet 'mirror' is even neater! Never seen that before

A 'prism' effect HAS to be part of that special look of crushed mirror. Do it!

As I recall it was a bit too big to go throu the gun, and he just sprinkled it on and built up the clear to cover

A piece every 1" or 2" would do it I think?

It would be worth the effort to do a test because the look is so cool !

  5. The backside of the mirror, is what concerns me. It's usually a grey color, or whatever. And the prism iridescents is so cool. The dash in my dads chopped top, was black with a prism type glass or something. He said someone stole the jar he had of it. So I don't know what it was, but it's forever in my brain

Jay, I asked once but I cannot find your reply; what is the name of that green body filler that you used on the Elco?

Did you apply it directly over any repairs you made? Or did you use anything else over patches, etc. and then the rage?

  9. I apply it to clean metal. I haven't used epoxy primer yet, but you can put it over that also.

  10. Right over the patches

I put mine over cured and sanded filler and bare metal too, it's never failed.

That is what I needed to know. The Biscayne will need some patches, thankfully not anything big, and I like the way it flowed for Jay, so now I'm happy and know what I will buy to work on the '58. Thanks Jay and Nads.

^^^^^ The hole shoot helped also. All things considered, if you was to class that bike like a gas coupe, that bike would be a high ranker. Also, for that Five Seven to scoot that well on such a cold tire is unbelievable. There's some good driver skill happening in the 57.

  16. Looks like the back end gets a little wiggle. Wiggle can be fun

Anything new on one of my fav builds?

  26. The wind blew off the car cover yesterday. It was nice to see, the truck again. I gotta get back on it. I need to do more than one project at a time. That's how dad did it

  27. Making the horn button emblem, for the 59. Mine broke, so I took advantage of the lousy weather. Went up to Gazelle Machining, for more mastercam help.

  28. The horn button emblem. Not going to add the vertical grooves, just so it doesn't look stock.

  29. Now I have to decide, what am I going to make it out of
