The project car I bought has a '59 352 FE and a MX Cruise-o-Matic trans (Case PBL7006C, Tag PB-7003-V). The combo didn't come with a flexplate or starter, so I've been looking for the right parts. It seems the more I dig through Google and restoration catalogs, the less confident I am about picking one.

So maybe y'all can point me in the right direction. I did try searching the HAMB and it seems that I should grab a later flexplate so I can use the later starter? It's all the issue of what's compatible with what that starts making me wonder if I'm looking at the right parts.

Yes - you want to use the later parts - I have a starter if you want it - free

    You have a message!

  4. find a C6 and you will be better off. A 65 and up flexplate and starter are a upgrade.

Use the later stuff. I've had more problems with the shaft mounted starter drive on the old style than anything.
