Finally a gem of a day in the PNW/ Spent it taking **** apart on the wagon. Drained radiator/flushed the block...not too bad, a little rust. Hoses are pretty bad. Replaced the thermostat...looked pretty old. Question though...should I replace the water pump? No bearing play when I move the fan. Is it stupid to waste time cleaning out the cooling system and not do the water pump?
If the bearing is good and there is no evidence of leakage through the bottom vent weep hole then I would leave it alone.
