Anyone here care to comment on why the 59 hood latch mechanism is considered a great improvement over the 57-8 latch. Been told its a must have improvement but nothing more.
Zap, You should just trust me!!! The 59 latch only has one arm holding it shut, not one from both sides, like the 57-58. This makes it easier to shut and when you pull the cable, it pops open faster. I have changed all 3 of my 57's picked up one for my friend harry's 57 ragtop and just sent one to Gordon Payne for the supercharged 57 drag car he is building.
