Technical 59 Mercury flathead

    trying to use all the parts. Does #1 fit in #2 and sit in the block before the intake is installed?

    Part 1 goes into a socket on the underside of the FP stand, flange on part 2 is sandwiched between the stand and the manifold in a little recess you will see. There is something deeply wrong with the umbrella on the FP pushrod. Engine looks nice!

    Flange on push rod is moveable. Where does it belong?

    Open side points down toward block and it sits just a little above the iron at the bottom when it is in place. You will probably find some marks or scars on the pushrod about 2" from the end opposite to where it is in the pic.
