OK Guys, January is right around the corner - (I know, I know...I dont have to remind you), but one thing to look forward to this winter is the Hot Rod and Drag Racing Nostalgia fest happening at the site of the old TYRODS meet at Elks Hall on Park Street in Hudson, MA. It makes for a good break during the "project season" and a chance to catch up with friends new and old. There is a cash bar, a wide screen projector featuring old hot rod movies, local drag racing footage, vintage match races from Sanford, Orange, Norwood, Charlestown, Epping, East Haddam, etc. This has grown to be a great event all New England hot rodders look forward to each winter. Click on the attachement below, print it out, and pass it on to a friend. Make plans to come on down.
If it ever stops snowing I'll be able to get out of my driveway and go to this. It is always a good time. Maybe we'll have a January thaw and you can drive your rpu!!
I'll be there as usual, wouldn't miss it. I'll be stoppin in on my way back from the Big-E swap meet...see all you guys there.
Looking forward to it. i'll be there, with plenty of new Mag-neto magazines and t-shirts. this shindig is perfect for reminding us that spring is, what, only 3 more months away!
I called Fred yesterday and got the date for the 6th Annual Hot Rod & Drag Racing Fest, Saturday 1-16-2010; same place, Elk's hall on Park St. in Hudson; same time, 2-7pm; same price, $5. Fred's getting ready for Florida and won't have the posters or flyers out until November. He said that, had he known the World of Wheels - Boston was moving their date to Mar. 12-14, he would have preferred using their previous 1st weeknd date in Jan. for the mid-winter fest.
