Looks great Rolf......been thinkin along those same lines myself.....can you show pics of how it slides into the body and radiator....?
looks great, rolf. really neat hood solution that i will steal for myself soon. not gonna follow suit with the fenders, though. i am sure you will make the car look great with the fenders. no doubt about it.
I like it. Fenders? Gonna look really cool. I'm ***uming you've seen Steve Gilligan's Fendered 32? It's a beauty.
Very nice and do you know the history of the full fendered 5 window you like? Just curious if this was Neal East's old 5 window. Lynn
Always one of my favorites in almost any form. Bone stock full-fendered to highboy, to lowboy to my favorite the Lynn Yakel chopped channeled 5W.
Ya sure: One could get really slick and turn down the "hook" part a bit and cover it with a rubber hose to avoid any squeaks or chafing. You know, like a hood lock condom For your protection !
That is the Don van Hoff coupe. The picture is from the Dec 1955 Hot Rod cover. Obviously unchopped but you get the idea. Here is another one with great stance: Jim Shelton's roadster: he is running the same size tires. 500/525 in the front, 7:00 in the rear.
I like it the simplicity and the price. Did you add the sleeves or were they on the underside of the hood? My hood is rootlieb and has no sleeve.
Naa, where would they go? The hood feels very stabil when locked down. As soon as I see dry roads I will do a high speed test. Should be any month now
