    Natas,

Great pics of a bitchin' car. Would you happen to have any detail shots of the front suspension? I want to get a better view of what's going on with the brake scoops.

    Thanks,
    Phil

  4. Maybe it's just the pictures I've seen of the car, but to me there doesn't seem to be that big a diff between the fronts and rears. In fact, that's one of the main things I like about it.

'Big N Little' is good in moderation, but it can be taken to a point where it kills a stance... makes it look cartoony and impractical IMO. It's the reason I've never been a big fan of the McMullen roadster (heresy!).

    Yeah I'm an idiot...

I got 'Bell' and 'Busby' confused... Why couldn't one of these dudes be named 'Smith' or something.

Judging from the pics, and my understanding of what's available in Firestone Bias Plys, I'd say those are 6.00 fronts and 7.5 rears on the Busby car.

    So bitchin.

  10. Who's is this???!!! This car looks amazing! I love the frame covers (bellypan sides?) !!! Would love to see more of this.

True to what others have said, however, the rear fenderline would look better moved up to center the tire IMHO.

Love the Indy Hals and what looks like vintage 'Stones or Excelsior racers as well!!

Kilroy, you do realize that the McGee roadster has transplanted Model A frame horns on it, right? The front crossmember appears to be in pretty much the original location to me....the shorter A frame horns might make it look like it has been moved forward when looking at it sans grille shell.

    I dunno...

Judging by how that flatty is sitting in there, it looks like the xmember is moved forward to me. It's hard to tell from the pics but it sure looks like an A member to me, which might be another indication that it's moved.

Maybe someone has a more definitive answer...

Doesn't the hood look longer too in the pic below?

I'd forgotten about the A horns actually. It probably isn't the best example of moving the xmember forward. But it is one of the best sitting 32s ever.

Hey Larry- I know I give ya shit from time to time but DAMN, that's a nice set-up on your front-end.
Question: Are those 'stock' perches on the 'bones? Did you drill through BOTH sides, insert the perch, cut off the end, weld, etc??? Or just one hole?
That's pretty much what I want to do, only on A frame.
    Oh wait...I think I see it now....nevermind.

It's another Moal creation for George Poteet. Hopefully they don't get excessive with interior like they did with the roadster they did.

If Busby's car is your inspiration, I don't think you need any other help.

    Hello,
I sold my 31 5w coupe with 331cid hemi and bought from Tennesee 32 5w coupe project. Engine will be 409cid chevy + muncie 21, thats ok. I made during winter myself all sheet metaljobs etc.

I have tried to find sheet metal patch panels.
Cowl patch panels and rear quater patch panels are easier, but where can I order outher door patch panels?

Kev that thing is killer! What is the rear set-up? It looks like a four link
with coil overs and a panhard bar on a nine inch,
Also what are those rear tires?
Are the fronts 15 x 4 magnesium, and what size tire?
I'm trying to decide what wheel and tire combo to run on this.

As you can see, it needs help! Thanks, Scott

  25. Rear setup is a TCI four link and coil overs with a diagonal link on the lower bars. Slicks are recaps from a long time ago and they weigh a ton!.Front wheels are 15x4 Crestlines, aluminum.

Thanks Kev, I thought those might have been Crestlines. They're alot harder to find than the Americans. Do you still have them?

I still like Clark`s 13b..something about that damn car and its stance.
also, the one Kevin Lee posted is bad ass...
in my opinion none of these should ever be channeled at least not when you have a 32 frame under it.

Here's another shot of that rootbeer colored one. It's a great car.

Here's a similar one from Mass. I really like, built in the late '50s...

I stole this one from the HAMB, it's mean looking. Notice it's not channeled the full height of the frame rail, I like that.
