"Jalopykid, is that a Zip's riser? Would you like to sell it?"

Druss32, it is a zips waterpump riser. Its gonna work slick on the fordor so I'm gonna use it.

    Hello all

We utilized four Weber IDA's on our 2009 Engine Masters Challenge early hemi. Don't know how to post the pix, so if someone can 'splain it to me, I'd appreciate it. Or, I could send the pix to someone and they could post it.

I'm in the middle of a Holley 8X2 manifold utilizing Holley 80583's (Keith Dorton HP series 2300's). Have the carburetors in hand, and the manifold and carburetor plate drawings almost ready to go to the water jet cutter. Working on how to configure the runners, might "bite the bullet" (way expensive) and have Tim Hogan fabricate some.

Before I sold the car, I was using four of the 94's. Most of the time I was only using two. Way too much fuel for the little 283. And those power valves were a ***** to get sorted. They looked real cool though.
Not the best pic of the manifold but, you get the idea.

I got this 6 top from a guy in the grocery store parking lot that was waiting by our coupe when I walked out from shopping. Said his dad had run it on a blown flat bottom drag boat back in the day and it had been hanging on his wall since his dad p***ed. He said he waited cause he thought the carbs I was running looked familiar to him.

So you never know when or where you will come across something.

Irony, it now hangs on my shop wall....waiting for me to do something with it.

    Cheers

VERY, VERY cool eye-candy guys, I'm big time jealous!
The closest I ever got was a '65 Corvair Corsa with 4 carbs.

Just ran a couple of 50 mile loops to local car show and shake-down. Surprised that initial tune on carbs resulted in 15.3 mpg! Not bad if i do say so myself.

The 6x2 setup we currently have running in Miss Taboo Offy manifold and handmade adapters to mount 2GC's instead of 94 or 97.

  29. Say-why-and 8-671 in my 1931 Chrysler cm-6. This was one of 20 made in 1959. Eight 97s were a tight fit. The car ran great. Thousands of street miles and lots of p***es on this one. 20130823_185549.jpg 20130616_202145-1.jpg 20130717_102449.jpg
