Ok all you knowledgeable and smart people can someone show me some in detail pictures of their 6 carb linkage for a Weiand W671 6 as pictured..

its incredibly tight and I don't want to go buying a pile of parts that I don't need...

    thanks

    Hey R,
Here is a similar set up on a previous HAMB thread...pm the owner.

In the teenage years, we had 6 Strombergs on top of a Weiand flat manifold for our 671 SBC set up. But, because our linkages were parallel, they were all the same length. It was very time consuming adjusting the 6 carbs, but once it was completed, the carbs ran perfectly, gave lots of power and when the throttle was pushed, a giant sucking sound whooshed out of the motor compartment. We had 3 carbs on the 1958 348 Impala. But, without an air filter, the whoosh was very nice. It is not comparable to the 6 Stromberg sound/power on the 671 SBC.

Your manifold is off set, the linkage will be different. PM atomictrent for more details.

I would think that you have to run throttle shaft extensions like what is necessary on a 4x2 weiand small block manifold. here is a pic I found. The "tie bar" is needed because the extended shafts get pretty floppy at the needed length. this one shows progressive inkage, but I would think that with a blower you would run em all straight...

thanks moriarty that is a similar setup, Stromberg now offers shaft extensions with a brace that bolts to the base which looks like it would stiffen the shafts and do away with the need for the tie bar *I would think*

I have no idea how to add a picture or I would add a photo of the motor at hand for a bit of eye candy.
I must have fluked adding the first picture...

    Hey R,
Here is a photo that just popped up on the HAMB, yesterday. It clearly shows a linkage system on a staggered 6 carb manifold, on top of a 671. It is a clean system and perhaps it solves your dilemma?

I'm amazed that not more people have pictures to be honest.

many thanks to all for the help, after I do mine I may have to upload some pics for people in the future

Did you ever get your linkage done? I’m just starting to research the same thing for my staggered 6 carb Weiand intake and some closeup pictures would be helpful.

The internet is your friend. Type in the photos you want to see. I'm guessing you get what you want..!

P.s. - Yep, kits and pictures galore.
P.P.s. - You want tough, try building a two four barrel linkage, where the two carburetors are facing each other, and offset about 3/4 of the carb. width apart..! That is primary to primary on a cross ram manifold. Can you spell, bell cranks..?
