Hot Rods 6 lug chevy artillery wheels

I have a set of 15" chevy artillery wheels. The hoops are bad on a couple. Are the centers the same where I could put 16" hoops on them? Or are they forever 15" wheels?

16's are common, 15's are rare

15 inch are late 30's 3/4 ton and highly desirable and one should be able to find someone and maybe Wheelsmith that can put new hoops on them. They aren't worth a lot with bad rims but are well worth putting new 15 inch rims on. Good trading material especially with the bomba lowrider brigade who will probably trade you nice 16 inches for the need work 15s.

 

I think they were an accessory wheel up into the 40's, but hard to find at any rate.
