Wondering if there is such a thing as an 1157 6volt dual filament bulb? The bulb in there now is an 1157 and I'm hoping that it's a 12 volt and the cause to my problem.

    Any info is appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Jerry

Looks like 1154 is your normal 6 volt dual element bulb..................:D

The 6v version is 1154 (21/3 CP). IMHO, a better choice for 6v is the Super-Brite Bulb (14/50 CP) carried by Sacramento Vintage Ford (p/n 06143-6SB). Painting the insides of tail light buckets white also helps.

Everytime a question about 6volt wiring comes up the general response is always "check your ground"

But yet 1157 is a12v bulb.

Nice Caddy in your avatar, hope the 1154 bulbs are not for it, as that is a 12 volt vehicle.

Haha... nope. They're in a '54 Ford mainline I recently picked up.
Thanks for the compliments on the Caddy but it's currently tore apart going through an update.
