I want to put together a reliable 6 x 94's setup - i know some will say that is not possible but im going to have a shot at it anyway! There is a guy selling new base kits that convert the end carbs to secondaries. Has anyone bought them or have any experience with them as im wanting to know how good they are? Here is the link to them https://www.ebay.com/itm/CARB-BASE-...097123?hash=item5474a312e3:g:fyYAAOSwOXldUwAP
Realrodder on that sight is Vintage Speed in Vero Beach. He supplies vendors with his product like Speedway the last I knew. There are many threads on here regarding your set up. Here is one from 2005: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/fuel-multi-carb-tips.77680/
Another link to Littleman's threads: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/search/262939000/?q=Holley&t=post&o=relevance&c[user][0]=3350
@Dreddybear ***embled a great resource of info here. He also runs a 6x2 and apparently has it all figured out. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...holley-info-on-the-hamb-and-elsewhere.880299/
Thanks for the replies and info. Thats good to know the seller i linked to is vintage speed. Also the links to the threads looks like some good bedtime reading, should keep me occupied for a while.
v8coupe: Before you deal with Charley Price, read this thread. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/vintage-speed-customer-service.448942/ and https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64978&highlight=vintage+speed+parts You might also want to PM some of those who posted.
Thanks for the heads up. Ive sent an email and an ebay message so will be interesting to see if i get a response. What makes this more difficult is that im in the UK and shipping and import duty is crazy so i need the advice and expertise from someone who knows to make sure im buying the right parts to make this setup run as good as possible.
might PM @Dreddybear to get some input before ordering. He has a lot of hands on experience with these set ups.
Thanks, just pm'd him, hopefully he will share his knowledge. Unfortunately his link doesnt work anymore https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...holley-info-on-the-hamb-and-elsewhere.880299/
I have bought stuff from Charlies ebay page without issues for years now. Not sure about direct, but through Ebay no problems whatsoever. I finally bit the bullet and went to stromberg, my holleys were leaking too much no matter what I did!
I will just say that it can be done if you are the type of guy who doesn't mind spending some time tuning. It's not a set it and forget it type of thing. My two points of advise would be buy a Unisync , actually two, and keep the idle circuits working in the end carbs.
