60'-70's Psychedelic paint thread,let's see um!

Here's the deal.My dad's kicking around the idea of building a G***er.He has a 49 Chevy Fleetline 2-door.I told him if were gonna do it might as well get it right with a period correct paint job.

 

the first two willys have to be the best drag cars ever.

 

Psychedelic? Well, rumor was it was laid out while the painter was high...

One of my favorite eras!

I started painting for others about '72, learning to shoot webbing, lace, endless line, panel paint, smoked paint, and painting pot leaves and murals on everything I could find!

These aren't my work, since I did mostly bikes then,.....but they are veeery groovey!

 

Loved the pics esp the lowered 56 Chevy w/pinners behind the Wild Thing funnycar..

 

I'm digging the gold chopped Anglia..

Hey how about a picture of thr corvette from the movie Corvette Summer!

 

Where was that 56 Chevy SD from? It it was originaly from Kansas City Missouri area? If so it has some great history (not in that paint scheme)

The rear wheel wells and tilt front end are a giveaway.
