  1. Mike G,

Let's see now, you're a FNG here and have 2 posts on this site. Then YOU'RE gonna' tell us what is right and what is wrong  .

Don't think this is gonna' happen. So, please put it on cruise control for awhile and watch the scenery before giving anymore advice.

these are the only actual vintage stock car pics I have:
    miller creek ,missoula montana,1972
both of the modifieds(?) ran hemis. as far as I know the pink one is lightly restored, and on display at a guys shop in polson,or pablo montana.
In 1977-78 I was old enough to see action at the miller creek track, then it was shut down due to encroaching development.
the infield is actually a park now, and the track is there, but it is a loop with houses built around the perimeter.

*** I added a current pic of the track, the big X is the pits, the arrows are turns 3 and 4, and the line is where the stands were..
I used to be able to see turn 4 from my house(about a mile away),and I would watch and listen to te races on saturday nights.
once the track was gone , we have not had a track closer than 50 miles away since.

Guys I apologized once as I was new at this and didn't know of the stockcar site and posted some cars that didn't apply. If some one will tell me how to delete them I will take down the NASCAR sportsman, ASA and hobby cars but I am going to leave some . What do you call a modified? Is Ray Hendricks full bodied stock bumpered 67 Camaro a modified? Looks like a good old southern Ky./northern Tenn. STOCKCAR to me. How about the #10 pins Falcon,#29 Falcons,#X3 camaro,#X3 Mustang on post #3019 or the #747 Falcon and nova on post #3021? They look like the posts of my Falcon, mustangs and camero. They are indepent front end, full stock bodied set back motored StOCKCARS. What about the # 60 Firebird on post #3054. Thats just an ASA STOCKCAR. Don't even know if the motor is set back. Like I said I apologize for the mistake and will correct it with some help. I didn't mean to ruffle anyones feathers.Allstarracing

all star,IMO just leave them up.like some have said I feel that we just kind of skirt the posts that are not what we are looking to see...
I am thankful that so many have posted pics of 567 chev stock cars, even though they are not exactly modifieds, because that is what I am mainly interested in looking at, however I do love those 37 chevs, and 40 ford coupes...and the pintos and gremlins too:D

You bet ya! I just wish everybody could get along "Quote Rodney King". Billy would
not put up with this crap for a minute! Billy and I have shared pics for years with both of us being coupe and coach guys! So I say to everybody, come on these were great times of history and to deprive anybody alive the memories is a total sin. I am 60yrs old like Billy but I say the younger generation does not know what a coupe or coach is let alone what racing was all about back in the early 50-60 era. Thanks for
reading whish I knew how to post. Thanks again everybody for reading this let us not get petty with our pics or 50-60's Era will die.
Regards and hopre not to be banned !

First, don't tell me what to do. And insulting me is not going to help.

Second, I did not take my Modified pictures down -- they're still there. I only took down the Street Stock, Late Model and Mini-Stock pics because the other guys who think they own this site didn't want non-Modifieds on this thread.

You have 5,000 photos? Good! Now get to work and YOU post YOUR stuff.

    John,
I am not insulting you! I agree with you,you were only trying to show the world where mod guys started from. I have pictures of Richie,Lou Smith,Frank Mathila,Buddy Thurston and Sonny Seamon in the early years before they to the mods.I know you have a major collection of Lancaster but please calm down for the
good of the memories.Keep posting where these guys started from, I think people should know where the roots came from.I'm totally sorry if I got you upset,as I say
    to you,call me!!

Thought I would let you know that the Cagle car is alive and well and racing in N.Y. State, and Ontario with the 78 year young owner...

You said it! I remember Billy, that's for sure. Not sure if he remembers me, though. Richie tried, a few times, to get me in the middle of their "discussions"! I tried hard not to get too involved. Boy, those were the days. Richie was a riot! I really miss that guy!

Posting pictures. If they are not too big, and you already have them on your computer, you can post them at no cost to you.

Below the box you type in, below the submit button is a section called "additional options". You will see a box titled "attach files". Click on the manage attachments button. That will bring up a box in which you choose attachments from your computer. Click on the "choose" button and locate the pictures on your computer. once you have located and selected the picture, click "open" and the linc will be listed in the space. Then press the upload button. If the picture is OK, it will move the listing to the bottom. If you want to post more then 1 picture, just repeat the process until you have listed all you want to post, or you have run out of space. It works better if you do the "up load" after seclecting each picture. Then roll down to press the submit button and you pictures will be posted as a thumbnail that will enlarge if selected.
You can add more pictures by replying to your post. You will have to type something before it will go to the additional options, but you will probably have something to say anyway.

Now get posting up those 5,000 pictures, I'll be waiting to look at them. Gene

I thought this was "Fast" George Fitz in the Fran Leamy Modified at Martinsville. It appears that it is more than likely Marty Radewick. He drove the car there in '78 & '79?? Fran Leamy, and George Fitz have both left the building. Marty is still among the rest of us. Still running a car at Monadnock in N.H.

Wow! Is this the Luke Scanlon that I watched with amazement at Riverside Park in Agawam, Mass wheeling the STP #348 all those years ago? I worked with Bob Cwikla who drove the #88 Dodges at that time at our beloved track. Nice to see your alive and kicking!

That is my Dad. He's still kickin. I've got a bunch of his old pics that I'll post. The STP 348 was a classic! I'll get them up on the Stock Car post as soon as I get a chance. Thanks for the reply.
