I know where 2 ended up: The Turner Bros. coupe ended up being parted out and then taken to the dump(as they were called then)
Mike Loescher's coach was sold to Ted Wolven, who raced it, and tried to sell it with no success, and it was then parted out,and scrapped.

Racers are the oldest recyclers. Most cars had the usable parts put on the new car and the rest was scraped and used for land fill.. Not many survived as lots of old late models were made into hobby cars or at least a lot of the parts were..

I think it's time Retroridesbyrich posted a pic of his privacy fence vintage modified. I about flipped out the first time I saw it!

We just found this photo from 1965 or 66. It is a 31 Model A body on a 40 Ford frame, powered by a flathead. It was raced at Rensselaer Raceway in Indiana by Larry Day, who just celebrated his 70th birthday.

In post #3496 just look at the variety in those modifieds shown from that one year, 1971. Nowadays evryone has the exact same body style and has for more than 20 long years. Just pitiful.
Anyway, I'm trying my first attachment here. Keene, NH Cheshire Fairgrounds 1957
L-R, Buddy Bardwell (with trademark roof horns), unknown car, #37 Chet's Esso w/Ray Harris?, #98 Wilson's Sport w/ Art Cody?, #9 Dave Todd.

  23. There's my buddy, Will Cagle, in what I'm pretty sure is the car he won Langhorne with. I'll have to ask him to make sure.

Pretty sure he told me his asphalt car for that race had independent front suspension.
