Do any of you guys have 50's or 60's pictures from Thompson Ct,Trenton,Old Bridge Nj or Norwood Arena MA ?

  3. tons if you go back through the pages

  4. Spent all weekend going through 226 pages of modifieds.Labor of love!
Found one super clear picture of Perk Brown in the Donald Bryant #04 coach that made it all worthwhile.
Big fan of old southern modifieds and own the repilica of Paul Radford's #46 coach, built by Harold Smith.
Big question, where are all those pics of the Mason modifieds and others that Brushwork man has???

Picture of the 2A dirt modified that Carl Van Horn is driving was owned by Walt Garret of Philipsburg, N.J. Ronnie Dunstan drove that car also. 2A was 427 Ford power.

  9. I just saw Don MacTavish accident online which took his life, I might have just witnessed the worst accident in nascar history. Another great driver that was taken too soon.

Agreed. Juts an awful wreck that took a great driver, and good egg (from what I've heard) from us too soon.

When I was a kid at Islip Speedway I used to get so excited when that black circle J showed up! He was one of my favorites. I still remember my shock and sadness upon seeing that wreck on ABC television. After his death Dick Berggren put together a book about Don, I beleive it was to raise money for his mom, I read that book so many times I think I wore the pages out.

Wow, Never thought I'd see a pic of Chas LaDuc here.
I knew Charlie through my parents. I was friends with Timmy, but I just can't remember the daughter's name.
    The LaDuc's were good people.
I remember him running a late model for years at Devil's Bowl before getting a modified in the early '80s. I never knew he ran a mod before that.
    Thanks for the post.
