Here's an aerial view of what I believe to be the old Lonsdale (RI) speedway. Check out the crowd!

  10. RomanFan, I dig that second shot a lot. Flyer reminds you of Bristol or Martinsville with the Coliseum vibe.

  11. As promised, #20 Czarnecki coupe. 38 chevy w/327 built by Paul and Joe Czarnecki. Paint and body work done by original artist, Jake Hafke.

Great looking car!! I remember watching the #20 cars run at Riverside Park back in the 60's, always fast and very nice looking cars. Jake is a good friend of mine and painted and lettered many, many modifieds back in the day. A very talented individual.

Nice job!!! I watched Eddie run the 19 at Weedsport many times. My dad knew him from Oswego and introduced me to him at Weedsport.:)

My great uncle's race car back in the early 50's that he built to run at Seekonk. Keep those Seekonk pictures coming.

My dad talks about Lonsdale from time to time. I guess his uncle Jimmy Boyd use to run there. My uncle, Ray Smith ran too. But, back then a lot of people raced. Pretty much knock the glass out and go. He mentions the Kingston Fairgrounds too. I can't find anything about Kingston. I know he went to Norwood also. There is a history site for Norwood.
