That #57 coupe (post #8995) is one weird looking car. It looks like he'd need to climb over the sterring column to get in it!

Hey guys, I'm new here, but I'm good friends with a man who used to race modifieds in New England, most successfully at Westboro Speedway. His name is Rolland Lapierre Jr, and I am looking for any pictures you guys might have of his car or himself. I'm sure his grandson Nicholas has already beaten me to the punch here, but I figured I would ask to see if there was anything else I could find to contribute to their history. He drove a blue and yellow #134, during the 70's and into the 80's.

Hey GrandiRacingL88 (couldn't you come up with a longer name??),

See post #6444 from 8/17/10. It appears to be a pic of one of Roland's cars restored. BTW....welcome to the forum!

  7. best bet is to take a few days if you haven't and start with page one, their should be a few shots of his ride and maybe yours.

I think Bobby Bard drove the 44 after Gary passed away and the car was painted orange. I also seem to remember Bob Stefanik driving the car with a Monza body and Central Chevrolet sponsorship before Reggie took over the wheel in the purple Chevette.

As The Bullfather said, Start at page 1. I believe there are 3 or 4. This board just brings back the memories.

Nice photo of Murphy's M3. He was always fast at Star... It hurt though to see the Polverari photo with Cookman and Evans going by. The way his helmet is tilted, it was a heck of a hit in the first turn.

That looks like Ron Bouchard in the driver's suit/dark jacket. Judging from that, and the change in the shape of the "2", this must be from the time when he was driving the 2x.

Yvan: Thanks for those vintage Canadian pics!! Is that a very young Jean Paul Cabana with that AF20 car? Neal

The 7ma on Bull Father's post #8944 is the former 11ma Radical Racer built by Freddy Felton. I believe that car was first outlawed because Nascar didn't think the cage was safe for the driver and the car was so low.

Marty Radwick competed at Claremont Speedway during the 1979 season in Felton's car. When that car was "on" it was super fast.

Who was driving it in this picture. Did Felton sell it or was it just renumbered?

Freddy Felton sold the car to Bernie Dillensneider of Greenfield, Mass. He is the one driving it in the picture. Bernie went by "Bernie Snider" and drove the car at Monadnock and Claremont during the early 80's. The car was destroyed in a fire at the auto body shop that Bernie owned in Deerfield, MA.

Wow! Thanks for the info. Freddy Felton was a great car builder and equally all around great guy! Unfortunate that the car was destroyed.

Thanks for the info about the Felton/ Snider deal. When I saw that car as a #7, back on pages 429 and 430 I wondered what was up. Check posts 8567 and 8 and 8605 for pics.
BullFather has been posting quite a few good shots from Claremont and Monadnock lately. Thanks, BF !

162 Roger Raymond, 39 Rusty Ball, 38 Donnie Ayer, 11 & 8NH Donnie Miller, 17 Jack Bateman, 121 Punky Caron, 55 Dwight Jarvis, 1NH Alan Whipple, 33NH Jim Small and 9NH Dennis Albro (sportsman and modified coupes). I even seen a picture of the 9 of Ronnie Bodge in the "pickle wagon".

1979 was a great time at Claremont Speedway (CODA). It was the first year my father was track promoter. He returned in 1985 and brought the Mod tour there when Cook was in charge and the ISMA Supermodifieds. Good times.

    Damn I love this board!!!

WHO DROVE THE 194? The name escapes me.
