Wayne Anderson or Three Lane Wayne!!! Right Rich!
Wayne Anderson, still active today, not sure if he's running or not this year, he always tells me he's retiring. His weigh doesn't help him in and out of the car, he did lose some so it made it easier. But with the new troyer chasis, the greenhouse of the car has a lot more room!

Thort Haag's Gremlin at Lancaster (NY) Speedway, 1974. The car owner, Mel Aube, passed away last November. Gordon Reinig photo. Behind Thort's car is Don Pratt's (blue) Pinto. This car was purchased from Richie Evans (as a coupe) and was converted to a Pinto in '74. If you look closely, you can still see Richie's old coupe rollcage in the car.

Hated the Vega, Pinto, Gremlin era. Coupes and sedans were the shit!!:p John:D

  18. Vega, Pinto and Gremlins days are better then the Troyer days of today, no identity at all! But I'll still take it, 600 motor horsepower, can't wait to see them run Bristol this year.

  19. Pete, great shots on 2090. BTW, Wayne Anderson asked you back when we were hanging out at Harry's to join his pit crew. But you were too busy becoming the Bullfather back then.

Wayne's a good man, he just doesn't put up with BS. As it should be.

Bill Rafter, 1968, at Lancaster (NY) Speedway. Gordon Reinig photo. Many people have asked why I inlcude the "(NY)" each time I identify Lancaster Speedway. It's because I used to write for Trackside Magazine and its new owners -- just before it went out of business -- re-captioned the photos I submitted for a feature on Chuck Boos and -- although I had the correct info in the story -- they ID'd Lancaster in Pa. and ID'd Cayuga Speedway (the 5/8-mile track in Ontario) as Central N.Y.! That's why I do it...
