That #4 looks just like one of the 34's Bob Cercena used to run at Danbury, but don't remember that number, maybe it became the 7?

  17. Your right it is a danbury car, the title just reads danbury but gave no driver!

Looks like Don Moon, maybe....same guy built this car, built a bunch of cages, and nerfs around this time...Name was Herbie, from Maine, we all thought he was hot stuff 'cause he could stick weld conduit. Amazing how it eventually comes back, this was around 66 or 67, pretty long time ago, I guess.

Bullfather: Wow, I like that Dick Emerson flat-top coupe -- never saw that one before!

As I write this, Gordie Reinig is back in the hospital in Buffalo. And he faces more chemotherapy in about three weeks. He's having a rough time -- let's keep him in your thoughts and prayers, especially if you are enjoying all of the Reinig pics I've posted here.

If you'd like to send a card or Get Well note:

The 666 was Wayne Reuitmann for sure. The accident started coming out of turn two when Howie Cronce 9c lost it and started the massive pileup.
Tighe Scott 28 got airbourne and sheared off Wayne's roof and rollcage. Lucky for Wayne is only 5'6" or it would have been the end for sure.Brother Buzzie was also one of the cars involved, when he looked over for Wayne he could not believe what he saw.Wayne thank God was not injured, but I did talk to him the following week at Middletown,he did have 2 black eyes.He then went back home to Florida and never raced up north again. After what happend and having a 2 month old son Wayne Jr. he stayed south and to this day continues to race sprint cars in the Tampa Bay Allstar League.Ironic as it may seem Wayne Jr. raced my dirt modified at Utica Rome Speedway in 2001 and now is running sprint cars against his dad.One other side note : The owners of the 666 car shortly there after were killed in a garage explosion thus ending the 666 car legacy.

  27. Emerson looked to have some hot looking rides, after I posted it, I looked at it again and then it hit me, that was the same man you've posted a few times. Heck, I even commented how nice one of his car were, believe it was a falcon.

Tell Gordie he's in my prayers! He's brought many a smile to this face looking at his artwork 30+ years later!
