60 plymouth suburban mirrors

anyone seen dual side mirror foot prints like this before ? or some explanation , they are on a 1960 plymouth suburban mirrors gone mysterious foot prints remain

 

Probably moved it or replaced one with another at some point. I have a '57 Dodge that has dual mirrors way out on the headlight arches, for some reason - it doesn't have a hitch on it, so who knows.

Back in the day, several companies sold add-on mirrors, etc

 

I have seen the mirrors that were once mounted on that fender. They're neat looking, aftermarket pieces. If I can find a pic I'll post it up.

'60 Suburban might be my favorite station wagon. Conversion to a 2 door is a weekend project. Got any pics?
