i have a 235 in my biscuit right now and i have a few xtra small blocks at my shop but i dont want to change the trans. the motors are late 70's 350's i dont think they will bolt up to the powerglide but thats why im asking any info would be great thanks Bryan
The pre-63 sixes had a different transmission bolt pattern to the V8, so it won't bolt straight up. Here are a couple of posts from Chevytalk about what you can do about this ... http://www.chevytalk.org/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB8&Number=479725 http://www.chevytalk.org/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB9&Number=620128
The cast rion 'glides are the same, just the adapter ring and the starter motors differ b/w 6 and V8's
so i would need to find an adapter ring from a v8 car then? simple enough, i just may build up an engine for this ol turd then.
ok nevermind i just read the stuff on chevy talk. i have to change the "bellhousing" part of the powerglide and i dont want to mess with all that. taking out a cast iron powerglide does not sound like fun to me. but i do have that rebuilt muncie laying around mmmmmmmmm???
