I’m redoing a mid 60s Chevy c-10 for my father-in-law. The hood is pretty bad so I’ve been on the hunt for a different one . Today I was told that a c-30 or c-60 hood would fit and are the same hood . Is this correct? I was under the impression they were bigger but I could be wrong. If so I’ve walked by a few this week. I have the chevy truck parts book...from 1969....let's see what it says Oh, it says they're all the same, 63-66, except for LCF (that's cabover) models.
Sheet metal is the same the trim will be different. There are repop hoods and repair panels available for them also.
Thank you squirrel I will have to retrace my steps at the junkyards again Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
The fenders flare out wider by several inches on the 1-1/2 ton and larger trucks but the hoods stayed the same. The hot lick in the 70's through 80's was to replace a 60/62 hood with a 63/65 hood and that ate up a bunch of them before guys started loving the ugly ones.
