This is an old Hop Up mag feature car from 1952. I found it in a ba*****t in Dayton Ohio in 1970, put it back together, and took it to the nats in Detroit [1972] for its first outing.

I bought it in 1955, sold it in 1975. Had it in California 1960-61. Spent some time at the Witch Stand in Hawthorne. I sold it to a guy in NJ, I am currently looking for this car & would like to know the where abouts of this car.

I know its a 5-window.... and has no fenders. But this Larry Watson paintjob could just as well be applied to a 3-window with fenders.
I have always wondered why nobody has built a clone... or at least inspired by this one...

I would have picked some different wheels/hubcaps though.

This 32 3 window is owned by my friend ****ie who drove the car from Louisville (NSRA) to Bonneville for Speedweek in 2007.

Putting over 5300 miles on the car in a little over two weeks (starting from and returning to Virginia), Built in 1965 with a 1960 vintage Corvette 283 with 2 4's backed by a LaSalle ****** with the original 32 Rear never missed a beat even while running in 100 degree temperatures going thru Kansas and doing 100 mph ... on the way out nonetheless.

The ride and trip of a lifetime....

Just imagine, 12 years old and this is coming down the street. I was never the same. Every time I see this pic my head just starts spinning. With the Fremont Dragstrip in full swing we lived in a real hot rod town, and your dads 32 was the baddest around. Sorry to repeat myself but its all so vivid in my head.

Here's my buddies early 60's style coupe. It hides some modern stuff, but it still has a good traditional vibe.
I think one of the biggest 60's things, especially if your building it as more of a "show rod" more than a hot rod, is to have LOTS of chrome. Especially the window frames inside.
