Heres my '26, not sure what era it would be classified as....

 

Here's my Car Craft project roadster car I built as a young lad. Note the Corvair coil springs on all four corners. Mine had a straight axle; the one in the 10-month series of articles used a dropped front axle. By the way, I went 10.36 / 133 MPH on that pass. I think the series ran in 1967 - somewhere I still have it.

 

It's actually not that loud at all. I uncorked them for the first time when I took it around the track at Good Guys then it got a bit noisy but in a good way. The car sounds really good all around, corked, uncorked any way you flip it the sound is pure bliss. Need to perhaps chrome those pipes and weld up a few cracks near the flange. I also have a few more ideas up my sleeve that I should have finished by LONE STAR.

 

bad ass....only thing missing is a blown hemi.

 

No arguments here. One of my favorite "T's" without a doubt. Nailed the "look" for sure.

 

does this count we wernt sure of the stlye so we just did it till it looked right

 

Various stages of one I had '63 to '66. Still have the rear Americans and slicks and the hemi manifold with the 6 carbs. Miracle I survived the night drags at Balboa in Eugene, Or ....... lol

 

Were you by any chance involved in the production of the first Farhner car show in SLC in about 1970?

Tom, I wasn't involved in the production of the show, fellow club member Bob Eames was show chairman for Ray Fahrners SLC show.

I believe Ray held the show for a few years and then sold it to Bob Larivee jr.(J.R.) I became show chairman several years later under J.R.

it's funny how these stories start....I didn't build the car, but by the time you saw it in Paso, I had owned it for a few years already, that was my friend Dano from the Dynotoes driving it, i wanted to drive my '40 pickup that year, and he didn't have a car to drive so I lent him my T to drive....Jon Dejeer mocked the car up to the point where it looked cool but wasn't really a driver, John Labelle bought it from him and did a few things to it, then buddy Dughi bought it and got the carb linkage sorted out and then i traded a car and some cash for it changed a few things and logged lots of miles on it, including the first Muroc reunion. Then I sold it to Rob, who has taken great care of it ever since. we still keep in touch. theres the straight dope.....

yes I did, had to teach myself how to weld first - got 13" motorcycle baffles in each pipe - sounds pretty good too!

 

Do you have any of the Mtv videos of it? It was on MTV in like 97 or so! I remember seing it soon after I saw it at Detroit Autorama after you purchased it.
