I have LOVED this van since the first time I saw it. Love that paint.

I had someone give me a whole set of books on upholstery from one of those mail-correspondence training schools from the 70's. It shows all kinds of accessories for vans and how-to's for them.

  4. one of my favorite looks on early vans was using modelA bumpers front and rear, gives it a cool look and easy todo, now I gotta find a damn pic pf one.........I made a set of nerfettes using bugeye sprite bumper gards on my A100

  5. in the early 80s this was parked on Siskin Drive just outside Coventry, was there for a good while, I took a good look while I was there looking at buying a Lotus Europa, it was complete with the GT40 motor and transaxle and had been bought just for the drive train but like I said had been there for a long time....apparently no longer exists

Check out this sleeve/poster from FU MANCHU. I used to play in a band that played with these guys when they were in the Boston area. I love their sound and most of their records.

    DO IT IN A VAN!

After comming over to this cool site from another and reading most of these posts on this topic I wanted to let you know that there is a site that tons of vanners (past and present) use. It's called vannin.com. hundreds of pics, event info, cl***ifeds, links to other van sites and helpful info about vans. Vanning never went away, just kinda went underground! Great to read all of your van experiences. I love all things custom and H.A.M.B. is a great forum. Here's a link I hope works for you: http://www.vannin.com/threads/

This is a cool thread. I'd love to see some of these US vans on the streets in Australia. I'd roll one as a company daily in a heartbeat.

We don't exactly have the best stock to choose from over here. Befords & Transits.....? :(
