Has anyone had experience chopping a Bulletbird. I'm having problems. Because the A and C pillars have different angles(from the front view the roof sections screws as it drops. So the roof will taper towards the front.
Could bend the A pillars then I'd need a custom windshield. Might need one anyway cause when I cut the top of the gl*** I think theres going to be a gap because of the compound curve at the top:confused:

I had Frank DeRosa do a chop on a 61 Bird for me some years ago. The car car was going to be a roadster but it when they took 4 inch's out the pillars it left about a 3 inch gap in the header. I was lucky to have had another Bird I was parting out that I took that section from. Eventually everything got reworked again and the header of the windshield got chopped off as well and we just kept the side post and clean cut gl*** across the top, Best of luck with your project. I'm in Vallejo as well so I hope to see it on the road.
Also Oz Kustoms has done a few Birds and he's on the HAMB. Drop him a line and maybe he can help you out.

Cut the gl*** first..then wrap the weldables around it, thats what I've always heard/done.
