I bought backing plates from Scarebird as well as pretty much near everything to convert from stock drums to discs. I ended up installing a MII front end as I found that the stock rebuild parts (trunions) would add up to the point it was just time to do a MII. I have the backing plates, rotors, spindles, lines bearings etc. I believe your front drums are the same as my 60 American. I need to figure out the cost of all this stuff and then I can let you know how much if your interested. Of course it would be less than what I paid. I also have some front end rebuild parts..If you just want to get your own stuff look up scarebird parts on the internet..I think theres an outfit called space brakes as well.
    Good luck.
