Projects '61 Biscayne - Mild Custom or Drag Car?

    What steel rims and tire size should I consider? The wider the better in the rear. I wish I had a 409 and 4 speed in this barn find. Thanks guys...
    I accidentally stumbled on this barn find on Saturday ....Had the cash paid the farmer and it was at its new home within 2 hours. It took a mini Excavator to move the foot and a half of top soil around the shed doors. I love these old beauties!!

    You cannot go wrong with making it look exactly like it did when driven off the dealership lot when new.

    Well the widest stock steel wheels in 61 were off a station wagon. They had 6" wide. You should be able to fit a 7 maybe a 8 with no issues in the the rear. At 8" you might have to play with backspace. Its been awhile since we had a 61 so I cant recall what we had for wheel width.
