61 Catalina Convertible just bought it

I had a 61 Bonneville Wagon in high school, 389 2barrel, first engine I ever rebuilt, ran it in the high school drags at OCIR down in socal, ran 18 something,, lol,, fuel pump couldnt keep up and it died half track,
I so loved that car,
ahhh memories

 

A normal part of my "weekends with Dad" when I was 15 was going around to the various Pontiac dealers in the Puget sound area and checking out the 61's on the lot and in the showroom. A Catalina Ragtop with the setup your car had including that color was my ultimate dream car in early 61.

 

Had to watch that fuel pump eccentric drive on the Pontiacs....this IS the voice of experience...I left one a tad loose myself and chased it for weeks!!!!
