Hell Yes! The Falcon Ranchero Has Got Some Great Lines And Just Different Enuf To B Cool. Slam It Put Some Old Baby Moons (or Somethin Else Cheap) And Cruise The Crap Out Of It.

  3. Hell Yeah!! And you can haul home more crap - er I mean treasures with it.

  8. I thin there's a '62 in the classifieds cheaper than that. Same car newer title.

I know a guy in Omaha that made a gasser from one. not that its important. but it was a sweet little gasser if that floats your boat.

Damn didnt know everyones opinion had to favor your car or beater. If I built something nobody liked, oh fucking well its mine and not yours go look at something else then. And if it was your beater why are you so offended?

The word WAS in your statement is enough for me. Spanked it or not, I'm not into tearing up city streets in BEATERS. If I were, I'd join the local ELCO club. Oh usin the chick crutch. Right because I've got tits I should be sweet and kind and NEVER voice my opinion? Too bad! I don't like them unless they are STOCK and clean. Everybody else has THEIR opinions and I've got MINE. Don't like it? Too bad, I stand by it!

Bought this little roundbody from my dad then sold it back to him. It's undergoing a complete restore. Paint will be a new Pontiac Copper Metallic in suede, Silver Metalflake roof, and gloss Pontiac Copper on the stock 13" wheels. It was going to get a 302/AOD, but he rebuilt the stock 170 inliner and putting a 3spd on the floor behind it.

  13. Easy, folks!

I like em' both...including the "gasser" idea and the "drop it" with baby moons. Shit, I'll do em' all. Best part is it's a CLEAN driver AND it's LOCAL!!!!!!! Think I'll drive right down and snatch it. It'll take my mind off chopping the 51 p.u. I posted previously. It will also take my mind off of my 51 Chev. Coupe w/261 5 speed that I'm installing a new DEMON 2 bbl on a Clifford manifold. It will also take my mind off of waiting for a good friend to drop in the 409 in my 62 Bubbletop. It'll also take my mind off what my wife is gonna' say when she ses it.... I already know....ANOTHER ONE????

    These 61's ever come with V-8's? See, it's a disease...just drive it...just drive it...ok, I got it now.

    Did someone say "cute"?

  15. Now, were talkin'. A combo between the two. Any more pics????????

So I guess you CAN put a V-8 in em' .....just drive it....just drive it...

  16. In stock form it is CUTE! I hate the word too (and the concept). That's why it's gotta' be modified!

sorry to have slightly disrupted this thread earlier, but yes you can run V8's in em without too much work, mine had a built 302 and a C4 trans, the stock suspension doesn't deal as well as it should with the extra weight but there are lots you can do to improve the suspension parts. mustang or comet buckets and a comet console fit really well too. You definately want to change the rearend if you put a V8 in it, 8" will fit out of a V8 falcon or comet. I like the white 64-65 that Tony posted too, thats a great look for that body style.

No recent pics...it's at the paint shop right now. Interior will be done by us here at Fat Lucky's. I might see if I can snap some pics when I go visit for turkey day.

  19. Just what I wanted to know! These things are lightweight = light in weight and suspension. Do they have 5 lugs?

    Thanks for all the info!

  20. In short, yes, these things are great for any number of reasons.

These falcon/ranchero threads seem to start every few months for some reason. I guess people either love 'em or hate 'em. I've had a 63 Ranchero I used to call Cowpunk, hair-on cowhide interior, 3 inch drop, straight six and air shocks. I loved it.
I'm almost about ready to be back on the road with my 63 hardtop fresh from paint. flat lime and silver flake.

Dan, I didn't know you had a Ranchero, that thing is cool. I love the tank in the front. See ya at Mooneyes.

  21. they make good a "custom" !!

  22. I forget whose motor this is, but it is in a Hamber's little Ranch. It is one of the prettiest inlines I've ever seen.................E

i have liked that ranchero since i first saw it on moonequiped like 4 years ago i think (maybe my memories are going) but that thing kicks arse, big fat poncho arse.

  25. Unless you find a '63 with a 260 V8, it will have four lugs. There are interchangeable 5 bolt suspension parts out there though.

Like the early Mustangs. Actually same car just different bodies. Never run 8cyls in a 4 lug car. Bad juju! I upgraded my 4 lug Mustang to all the 5 lug stuff. It cost me about 500 for the front *new bushings, sway bar, etc* and about 50 for the new rear end *5lug*. It's easy stuff to do.

Because I don't believe in PUBLIC INSULT and PRIVATE APOLOGY......man enough to insult me in public, best be man enough to apologize in public.

    [IMG] appology
sorry about my incursion and to pointless nature of said wastrelness, that came so unkindly upon your senses and applied such a sour look upon your kind face.

(don't ask, i guess tomorrow is a small respite from work so i am in a wierd mood)

sorry for being so childish, you are right, to much stupidity on the HAMB.

i wish you a delightful evening. smile.
happy thanksgiving, and i hope some one is cooking for you;)
