What clutch disc fits a 62 235 with the 3 speed? dimensions would be helpful. this subjuct looks almost beat into the ground, but i have searched all over and cant turn anything up. i have no(physically not there) clutch in my truck. it is the oroginal engine and tranny. (235 w/ 3 speed) i am having difficulties ordering the parts that i need to replace the clutch. all the stores are coming up with different dimensions. i am just wanting to know if any subs will work or does it have to be that year and model. any input will be helpful.
I take it that you only have a flywheel, and no disc or pressure plate? If that's the case, measure the diameter or the bolts for the pressure plate. An 11" setup has about a 12 5/8" bolt circle diameter. The holes are close to the edge. A 10" clutch would have the holes noticeably closer in. Both sizes have 10 splines on the disc. The only difference in discs of that era would be the outside diameter. The hubs should all be the same. Or you could take the flywheel in with you and match it up to the pressure plate. Either it fits or it doesn't...
thanks snarl...we came up with a 10 incher. i ordered it and will be putting it in. i cant wait to get driving.
