Early shot?

 

Heard this had been restored. Nice shot.

 

I heard the same, I believe it was still a pretty straight and not cut up before the restoration. Hopefully it shows up at MCACN or Carlisle in the future.

I believe it is still in the same family and owned by his son. I’ve had those pics for a while, maybe from Motortrend or Hot Rod.

 

What's interesting is they had a 65 car and unlike everybody else they chose not to chop this one up. 10. 91@130 is hauling ass.

 

It seems the dad (original owner) loved the car too much to cut it up and make it “current” at the time. Glad to see one saved from the torch and left intact.

 

According to the attached paperwork he bought this car on my 11th birthday. But I didn't even get to go for a ride in it! Though it's not like we knew each other . . . or even lived in the same state . . . but still . . .

I'd like to think maybe it was his birthday. I probably got some Matchbox cars or maybe a transistor radio. But I'm sure I got some cake and ice cream!
