Here's an original, unmolested, unrestored, and VIN documented A990 for sale by its 2nd owner. The car has never been tubbed or had a cage installed. Last raced in SS/BA in 1974. It's been covered and in storage ever since. It was shipped on March 15th from Lynch Road to S. L. Savage in Seattle, WA. It does not have the orignal block but has an Aug 16th '65 casting block, std bore, pistons, rods crank. Have correct heads, intake, carbs, VCs , Art Carr 727 and 741 rear end, Jere Stahl headers, all disassembled, etc. Interior, glass, grille, seats, etc, all orig. The original owner bought the car new in Anchorage, AK in 1965, and can be put in touch with through the current owner. Owner is moving out of Alaska next year and would like to sell the car to someone who will restore it to its original condition. Here's a very RARE opportunity on an extremely RARE car in this condition!! $75,000 obo. For additional details please PM daveydeuce.

Restored to original? I'd be inclined to restore it as it's pictured, and preserve that history. Very cool car there;thanks for the pics

Here's a little bit from downun. The 63 was an ex-Milne Bros car... cant recall the 64. The cars became known as "Ramchargers" which technically isnt right but I guess its a different country and history is what it is.

They completely outgunned the locals.... Aust had never seen anything like them. The 63SS won the first ever drag nats and was an amazingly successfull race car.

The 63 still runs today. Last I heard Al was into the 9's.

Here's the 63 in more recent years with Al at the wheel. A great story where the son hunted down dad's old car and they rebuilt it to its former glory. Later they crunched the numbers and realised it was a factory SS car with the lightweight gear still fitted.

And more recently back in her original colours.

Well... after hanging around a car like Al's for a day I kinda got the bug and imported this 426 Sport Fury out of California. She came over with a few other cars (below).

Car is a warmed over 426 with a 65 tranny and a few other mods. She's teaching me a bit about racing at the moment :)

There are only a few of us messing with Superstock here in Aus but its catching. I heard of a black 426MW Dodge A330 on the way to Perth (watch for that one Al), and a few 64 / 65's, but not so many on the strip.

Dave just cut a Dart into an AFX and has it all period correct. It should run nice though most people dont know what to make of it....lmao. Guess we'll just edjamacate em and make our own Superstock history.... a few years late maybe :D

The Dart - still a work in progress but it will be as period correct as possible. Most people here don't know what to make of it ;)

She's a wedge.... will be fun to get her on the strip beside some other period cars :)

  16. I wish I could afford one of your Mopars, then you could go negotiate with Mr M.

Mr Mosher;your '64 Belvedere on the cover of and the articles within a 1980(September?) issue of Popular Hot Rodding were some of my biggest inspirations to try and acquire an MW car. I was laying in the hospital recovering from a burst appendix and a buddy brought me the mag. I'd love to find that issue again;lost my copy in a flood years ago.

There's a fairly poor quality scan of the article on moparsbymosher.com (if you click on the articles button on the main page). Unfortunately there's only one copy of the magazine buried in some heap at the shop.

    Hey,

Killer photos of the best era Mopar ever had!

Anyone have a copy of a wiring diagram for a '62 B body they could shoot me a copy of? My manual has gone MIA, and I've got to undo an "eletrical experts deeds"

    Thanx,
