Roger Lindamood's Color Me Gone.

 

The car goes back east but still retains its Color Me Gone livery

Car looks like a 2% car to me

Did they campaign a hemi S/SA car and a hemi A/FX 2% car?

According to the quarter panel car is now in Florida. Theres been a photo floating around forever of the right side of the car looking freshly altered like the bottom pic. I always ***umed the car evolved into a funnycar and kept getting chopped till there was nothing to chop.
Looking at S/SA and the valvoline decal, the champion decal in the quarter window, and the decal on the lower front fender, all the pics posted above appear to be the same car.
A guy on fb said he gave what was left of the car to Al Corda and s****ped the rest in the late 70s

 

But then there's this shot, which confuses the hell out of me. Photo was taken in florida in 1969. This shows a 64 dodge wearing Color Me Gone II paint with the wheels unmoved. Gentleman who took the pic said this was a 64 hemicar, so its not one of the max wedges.
Anybody care to drop some knowledge?

The 64 maxie(s) and the hemicar(s) are all named Color Me Gone II, which isn't helping any.
Let's throw this one in the mix to make this even more fuct up. Another Color Me Gone II, this one wearing a max wedge scoop with a single headlight hemi grill.

Watched the car run numerous times at Detroit Dragway, He always had the cigar sometimes while racing.

Roger Lindamood
If you were a drag racing fan in the 1960s and 1970s, you knew the Color Me Gone name even if you couldn’t recall the name of its driver, Roger Lindamood. He made that kind of an impact in his 15-year career on the quarter-mile, from his breakthrough win in Top Stock at the 1964 Nationals through more than a decade of nitro Funny Car racing with a consistently tough race car.

Drag racing was almost an afterthought to Lindamood, who didn’t begin drag racing until he was 35, after racing on dirt and asphalt ovals, yet he turned his gift of mechanical prowess, self-promotion, and a gritty work ethic into a celebrated quarter-mile career.

Lindamood was considered one of Michigan’s top 10 oval-track drivers when he retired from the circle game in 1955 and later began putting his mechanical skills to work at Chrysler’s “transmission lab,” working on automatic transmissions for the company –- and his fellow employees.

The name "Color Me Gone," was taken from one of the final lines of the “My Coloring Book” tearjerker that was a hit song in 1963. Roger's team had shoe-polished the words “I’m a Plymouth … Color Me Gone” on the car at one event, and the track promoters picked it up and Lindamood and quickly made it a permanent addition to his team.
