I have a 62 buick electra that has a 401 auto that was parted out due to rust even though it is a cool car imo. Question is, it has aluminum drums on front are these the ones some people use if so what parts or machining are required to put them on an older straight axle, what axle is best and what tranny works behind a 401?

Should be 45 finned drums (aluminum) if they were not changed. Do a search on fitting them to fords, its been discussed alot.
