62 chevy torsion bars

    Can someone tell me what nut or bolt Im suppose to loosen to lower my truck? I thought I could lower the front a few inches by doing this? Thanks

    at the rear the torsion is the adjuster, its up betweeen the crossmemberthat the bar goes threw

    I see that there is a bar on both sides that goes back towards the cab and is about 3 feet long. on the end of that?

    yes, at the end of the bar is what they call a keyway, the bolt goes threw that and is what moves the bar. not really sure how much of a drop you will get out it.
     
  6. just remember when you are lowering the truck with that you are also loosing spring rate. and nope this is the place to ask "stupid" questions.... ya might get a smartass answer or two though.... but were here to help :D

    That bolt is vertical with the head on the bottom Right?

    Yes the vertical bolts. The only problem is if you lower it alot the bolts will hang down and drag on speed bumps.
