Projects '62 corvette gasser build

Just got her......now the fun starts....

 

Nice, here's a friend's 62, bought it for $4500 back in the 70's

you gotta do a number matching restoration down to the over spray on the rockers and the crayon marks in the chassis .
You know , to be an individual like all the other vette owners

I always wanted a corvette gasser , never could afford one . So now, I get to build my own and add my dreams into it.

Yes sir Brent, I'm having fun . It starts with the obsession, then the search, then you find one, then the money, then landing the project , then its in your shop and now your off to the races.....

 

I will be following along too. Are you going the straight front axle route or I-beam blocks under the crossmember?

 

I'm jealous 61-62s are my favorite , I settled for a 59 because it was the only one in my price range at the time and it was fairly hammered. They are a freakin blast with a killer engine under the hood!

 

Do you have the seat frames? If you don't you are in for a shock...Ask me how I know

I vote 4 speed!!!

 

I'm not too big on power glides, just pulled one out of my Impala in favor of a TH350. Perfectly good trans though if it's what you're after and does what you want in a 2-spd. Just boring.
