Here is my newest project. It's a 62 falcon out of OKC. I've been working on it for several months now, so I thought it was time to share my progress. I'm building a gasser out of it. IMG_5252.jpeg IMG_5856.jpeg IMG_4631.jpeg IMG_4629.jpeg

Here is another photo dump, of the frame rail install, ladder bars, I kept the car leaf spring, but upgraded to HD mustang leafs, the original rear frame rails were rotten, so I modified some early mustang rails to replace them since you cant buy them. I am running a 48-52 F1 axle, using speedway gasser leaf springs, and spindles.

I also recut the rear wheel radiuses a few times, until I got the stance I wanted. If you ever have seen the Falcon Gasser 'Hound Dog' Thats the stance I was going for. Drivetrain is up in the air, I got a Virgin Fe 390 105 block, and a 460, Transmission is still undecided. Roll cage install will be coming up shortly, after I finish stripping the paint.

There is a build on an early Falcon on here using a 460. It’s a very nice build he’s done, maybe get some ideas?

A really top notch gasser build on your Falcon! Not many go this far to build an entire frame underneath. I built my '63 Falcon Futura gasser back about 9 years ago and used much of the Unibody by adding 1"x3" box tubing welded to the bottom of the front Unibody rails, then welded subframe connectors back to the rear, and tubing supports out to the rockers. Put a 468 BBC in mine, with Super T10 four speed, and a 8.8" Ford rear axle. Also added a 8 point cage to further stiffen up the body and chassis. Mine was mostly for the street, but ran the nostalgia drags each summer also.
Sold mine when I began building my '39 Chev gasser.

Been pretty busy the last few weeks. Scored an all original 1971 460 out of a Lincoln, started tacking in the roll cage, got the engine and transmission hung from the motor plates.
