Haven't made much progress since the last post unless you count painting the visors and moving it under the carport. The visors came out nice using vinyl paint. Wish I would remember to take before pictures. They were yellow-brown with age.

Have made some decisions though. Chip you will like them. Decided to keep the 170 six and put 5 speed behind it. Will be leaning on you for help. Will install a 200 exhaust manifold with new bigger exhaust. Will replace the 200 lb front seat with some lighter appropriate looking buckets.

Have ordered some refinished chrome bumpers from a vender at LARS. Seems a little shaky. Hope it turns out good. I'll keep you posted.

Guys how much gas millage should I get with that setup.

Gonna be a badass little cruiser. Nothing wrong with a four door at all.

Back to work on the Falcon. Still having trouble getting my ass in gear. Definitely going with a 5 speed behind the 170. Can you run me through the best and easiest way to do it and what parts I need. Don't think I have the means to make an adapter. I'd like to buy one from you if you don't mind making one. I hear the S10 V6 has a 28% O.D. where the 4 banger has a15%. Is that true and if so what do you think would be best for me.

I was a little pissed when I read your post then I looked at your name. I do have a friend that said that very thing to me. Couldn't figure out the integrated head and intake manifold.

    Hey Gary,
I'm not ignoring you, I promise. My girlfriend brought home a cold earlier this week that I can only surmise left it's parents on it's home planet of Kryptonite... She was down for a couple days and now I'm on day two. As soon as I can hold a rational thought and the Nyquil has departed my humble remains I'll sit down and help you work through this deal. First thing to check out is a websight called rickwrench.com. He did a step by step on his '62 wagon about 6 or 7 years ago and posted it on his web sight. He used a semi rare bell housing but I know we can end - around that. Also, look at a company called modern driveline, www.moderndriveline.com. They have several adaptors available too. I can get my guy here on the H.A.M.B. JOHN EVANS to do the deal as well. One last web sight to be aware of, fordsix.com/forum. Hit the driveline section there and get ready to read for hours.

If it was my car, I would probably go with the 28% over drive. I like doing the freeway flyer long distance thing, and living in the west as we do, if your not runnin' 80 or so, your being run over. If my driving was more in town or back east where there are still 55 mph speed limits, I'd think twice about hte other. Also, dig up some info on the first gears in those transmisions, cause I think the 4cyl is untra deep, like 4.00 or so.

I'll talk to you in couple of days when there is only one screen to look at on this computer...

I hate summer colds. No hurry I'm still going at my snails pace anyway.
Take it easy and get well.
