I am thinking of turning the wagon into a customized pickup! Got any ideas or photoshop? How about an i beam frontend? How about keeping the back seat as a part of the truckbed? Extended cab? Or, how about a 5 window cab? I have some ideas ....how about you? I don't have photoshop so give it your best shot...:D- Bob

BTW, I am serious...about the chop of the wagon...unless of course you pay me not to...LOL!

    heres an idea:
dont make that wagon a 'pickup'. make it a badass wagon and drive it.
    .
generally cars turned into trucks dont really look 'right'...
    .
    your car though...my opinion.

Go buy a Ranchero if you want a truck, don't screw up a perfectly good wagon. Wagons are cooler anyway.

+1 on buy a Ranchero or trade straight across for the wagon.

If you want the extra seating, the Ranchero already has a panel behind the cab that can be used to mount a rear seat, although I would mount it facing rearward so the passengers would have more room and not look directly into the rear window of the Ranchero. Moreover, a vintage Protect-O-Top shell could be installed to convert your Ranchero from a +2 seater truck to an open air cruiser for the rear passengers when the weather permits.

Thank you for the comments. I do like your thoughts retro....There is so much wrong with this wagon that...well it will cost a fortune to do it justice, which is more than it would be worth if brought to top line restoration.
